North Sea countries are currently in the process of preparing Maritime Spatial Plans. It is desirable to follow a comparable and coherent approach to the assessment of environmental impacts of future plans.

The general objective of this project is to support the development and implementation of Maritime Spatial Plans, by creating a coherent approach to Strategic Environmental Assessments (SEAs) with a focus on renewable energy.

The project will be carried out by MSP authorities and appropriate institutes in the countries bordering the North Sea.

This is a tool to assess data interoperability in a transboundary context.
